From June 25 to 27, 2025, enviMV e.V., as a project partner of the Interreg project BePacMan – Better Paper Packaging Management, cordially invites you to the second Steering Group Meeting in the Hanseatic and university city of Rostock.
enviMV will be responsible for organizing the conference and welcoming partners from the southern Baltic Sea region. The aim of the event is to discuss the next steps of the project in detail and to further strengthen cross-border cooperation to promote a sustainable and circular paper packaging economy.
Tailored questionnaires are currently being distributed to the various stakeholder groups. These will be used to survey the current status of paper packaging reuse and disposal and to analyze the willingness to reuse cardboard packaging. The results will serve as a basis for further measures in the course of the project.
The meeting will focus on:
📍 Study visits to innovative companies such as Smurfit Westrock Wellpappenwerk and Yamaton Paper GmbH, which offer practical insights into current and future packaging solutions as well as modern production and recycling processes.
📍 Project and strategy meetings to evaluate progress to date, discuss challenges, and jointly agree on the next milestones in the project.
📍 A full-day conference, enriched by keynote speeches from sendmepack and Grüne Projektmanufaktur UG. The program will be complemented by an in-depth presentation by Yvonne Wittig, who will shed light on current challenges and regulatory frameworks for packaging in Germany.
Last but not least, the meeting will provide ample opportunity for open exchange, interdisciplinary networking, and the joint development of innovative solutions for a future-oriented, circular paper packaging industry.
